How to use SmartTags in ReplyManager

SmartTags allow you to make faster and more personal responses by giving you access to customer details such as name and Order ID. To access them simply enter # as you reply and the available options will be presented. ReplyManager has a set of predefined smart tags set up for you and you can also create your own custom tags.

When responding to a message, simply enter ‘#’ and you will see a list of SmartTags appear.

Tip: Keep typing after # to search for a matching tag. #fi, for example, will select #consumer_firstname#.

Press Enter or Tab to confirm your selection.

Create a Custom SmartTag

ReplyManager allows you to create your own custom SmartTags, which serve as mini-templates that enable you to respond more efficiently.

Step 1: Messages > SmartTags

Step 2: Click ‘Add a SmartTag

Step 3:

Enter SmartTag name with prefix ‘my_’, eg. #my_product_name# and the replacement text that you would like to appear when prompted, eg. ‘1960s Vintage bicycle

Select ‘Company SmartTag’ if you would like this to appear for everyone in your team
