Fast, accurate replies using Fusion SmartTags

SmartTags allow you to make faster and more personal responses by giving you access to customer details such as name and Order ID. To access them simply enter # as you reply and the available options will be presented. Fusion has a set of predefined smart tags set up for you and you can also create your own custom tags.

When responding to a message, simply enter ‘#’ and you will see a list of SmartTags appear.

Tip: Keep typing after # to search for a matching tag. #fi, for example, will select #consumer_firstname#.

Create a Custom SmartTag

Fusion allows you to create your own custom SmartTags, which serve as mini-templates that enable you to respond more efficiently.

  1. Select the ‘Messages’ tab at the top of the screen
  2. From your Message homepage, click the ‘Settings’ cog on the top right of the navigation bar
  3. Select ‘SmartTags’.
  4. Click ‘Add a SmartTag’
  5. Enter SmartTag name with prefix ‘my_’, eg. #my_product_name# and the replacement text that you would like to appear when prompted, eg. ‘1960s Vintage bicycle’.

Using SmartTags

The available fields are as follows:

#consumer# The full consumer name, John Smith for example The username will be used if the consumer’s name is not available. e.g. redBob
#consumer_firstname# The consumer’s first name if available, John for example. The username will be used if the consumer’s first name is not available. e.g. redBob
#expected_delivery_date_from# The estimated earliest delivery date for the consumer’s home country See Settings > Destinations to configure this.
#expected_delivery_date_to# The estimated latest delivery date for the consumer’s home country. See Settings > Destinations to configure this.
#dispatched_on# When the consumer’s order was dispatched. Note: This will be blank unless the order has been dispatched.
#shipped_service_level# The shipping service used. Standard, Expedited, NextDay or SecondDay
#shipping_address# The consumer’s shipping address
#order_number# The Amazon / eBay order number.
